It takes plenty of skill to execute a perfect stop and at this year's Bathurst 1000 fans will get their own chance to find out just what it takes.

Major sponsor Repco will be staging a trackside pit stop challenge, giving fans the closest thing to a real, full Supercar pit stop that you can get.

Fans will be challenged to set their fastest time and those that best execute will be in line to win some fantastic prizes, including course car rides of the Mount Panorama circuit in the awesome Repco C10 and BMW E33.

"After all that this year has thrown at us, to celebrate this incredible sport with the best fans in the world, at the best circuit in the world is something very special," Mitch Wiley, Repco's head of sponsorship said.

"We have worked hard with the team at Supercars to bring the best fan activations to this event. All of our activations are free and we can't wait to be at the mountain next week to experience our very first Repco Bathurst 1000."

For those who don't make the cut in the pit stop challenge, there is still a chance to get a ride in style at the Mount. A stretched Polaris known as the 'Repco Rider' offers free transportation from The Chase to Harris Park.

It is at Harris Park where fans might get the opportunity to meet a V8 legend or even commentate a classic Bathurst moment themselves at the Repco broadcast studio.

The major sponsor of the Great Race hasn't forgotten the fans at the top of the mountain either. At the end of each days' racing, they will visit the camp grounds, play some great tunes and give away plenty of prizes and including a classic meat tray.
