Frisby drove Our Uncle Sam in the 2018 final at Melton, finishing second behind champion pacer Tiger Tara.
Frisby has had a bit of luck already with both Our Uncle Sam, who will feature in the first heat, and Aphorism, who will feature in the second heat, drawing barrier one in each of their respective heats.
Aphorism is a massive outsider in the 2400-metre run, the six-year-old gelding backed at $101, with Belinda McCarthy's Expensive Ego the hot favourite at $1.65.

Frisby, who'll be driving for both of his father Anthony's runners is hoping a bit of luck can go his way.
"It'll be a very hard heat. All of them are hard, aren't they," he said.
"You've got Expensive Ego in that race, he's a nice horse and you've got Alta Orlando drawn outside of him, so there's going to be a fair bit of speed out there early. Rockin Marty and Mach Da Vinci go nice as well.
"He'll race an honest race. The best part is he's on the rails, so he's going to run his best race.
"He might not be up to it, over the 2400 metres but at the end of the day, if he can get into the top four or five and get some points, you're halfway home.
"They'll be nice enough horses in front of him to give enough opportunity for him to get into the top four or five.
"But that's the real focus for us, to pick up points and get into the final."
Our Uncle Sam, which is one of Frisby's best ever pacers, has had plenty of experience in big races.
He's won two Group 1s, won the 2020 Shirley Turnbull Memorial, was twice runners-up in the Hunter Cup and second place in the aforementioned 2018 Inter Dominion Final.
Frisby believes Our Uncle Sam's experience will help in this year's Inter Dominion Series.
"I think that's got to help him. I think it showed two years ago that the three runs in the week didn't really worry him. We thought it would've, but it never did," he said.
"He's got a hard heat as well. You never know in these sort of things. You've only got to have that bit of luck and you're there about.
"He's got a super star horse in King Of Swing in his heat and don't get me wrong, you'd love to beat him, but if he could come second or third and pick up some points, you're laughing."
Our Uncle Sam will also race over 2400 metres.
Aphorism's heat gets underway at 9.15pm, while Our Uncle Sam is running from 8.43pm.
