As her family continue the gut-wrenching fight for justice for their much-loved sister and daughter, they are asking the community to join in a candlelit vigil to remember her.
To mark the 20th anniversary of Ms Vaughan's abduction, ceremonies will be held in Bathurst and Muswellbrook.
Ms Vaughan's sister Kylie Spelde said it was important that Bathurst was part of the remembrance ceremony.

"The Bathurst community has supported us a lot through the year with the billboard campaign [which aimed to reignite public attention about Ms Vaughan's disappearance]," she said.
"We welcome the community to join other members of the Help Find Janine Vaughan Facebook page and Bathurst locals to join in a candlelit memorial on Tuesday, December 7 from 6.30pm at the corner of George and Keppel streets [where Ms Vaughan was last seen].
"Please come and stand in silence, say a few words, light a candle or place some flowers - but, most of all, say a prayer that this Christmas will be our last without knowing where Janine is."
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
She said the heartache of losing Ms Vaughan never leaves the family.
"While the case is very baffling to police, they are relying on new information to come forward from the public to keep this case alive.
"Over the years, many new lines of inquiries have led nowhere and countless efforts of trying to link possible suspects to Janine have come to nothing.
"Without that little extra piece of evidence, it becomes impossible."
She again pleaded with anyone with information to come forward.
"If they want to remain confidential, we will do what we can to keep that promise and the police have assured us the same also," Ms Spelde said.
"However, if you do call Crime Stoppers and wish to remain anonymous, you must give all pieces of information ... if you leave anything out and the police cannot contact you because of your wish to remain anonymous, they therefore cannot fully investigate the information.
"So, please, even if you have called before and missed a piece of information, call back and make sure they have the whole piece."
"Twenty years is a long time without your sister or your daughter.
"It has been very tough on our dad not knowing and, with devastation at the end of every investigation causing more and more grief and heartache to all involved, enough is enough."
Ms Spelde said recent arrests in other cold cases across the state had given them hope.
"Over the last few months, we have had mixed emotions as we watch the police hone in on killers and solve cases and bring their missing family members home.
"It gives us hope that one day Janine will be found, but also frustration as our police are still unable to locate Janine."
