"Everyone has a dream of playing in the NRL and to actually see the trophy here and Penrith have won it ... they know it can be done."
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The trophy arrived in Bathurst last Tuesday and has already attracted a number of fans.
Mr Fearnley estimated a couple of hundred people went to the leagues club and took photos during Race Week.
He said it's also going to work in well with the Penrith Panthers player signing that is in the pipeline to happen next month.
"Hopefully we're going to have the first grade side up here late in January and we're going to try and sort out a player signing day here at the club and hopefully people can come and get their photo taken with some players and the trophy as well," Mr Fearnley said.
"It's going to happen, we're just trying to work out a date."
Young Panthers supporter and junior player Cruz Fischbeck was excited to watch his favourite NRL team win the grand final and said it was good to see the trophy in real life.
Mr Fearnley thanked the Penrith team for sending their trophy to Bathurst.
