"Those that turned up last year were keen. It's a community and a family. There'll be very keen to parkrun on Christmas and the weather is looking good."
Jackson said parkrun is a great way to start Christmas Day.
"It's a huge way to start a very positive day and you feel quite smug going into some decent lunches and dinners have done some exercise," he said.
"It's also great to be seeing people after being a part for 16-18 weeks. We're able to catch up on Christmas Day, which is good for the soul."
Last Saturday's parkrun was the first since the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the last event not held since August.
Jackson said the reception was "huge".
"For the week leading into it, we had heaps of phone calls and emails, people double checking that it was on," he said.
"We had 150-odd people turn up and we had some really good times."
