Pizzuto's last runner in the annual memorial feature was champion pacer Tiger Tara, the New Zealand stallion running ninth on that occasion, which happened to be his last ever run.
Pizzuto has two runners expected to feature in the Boxing Day feature - Loorrim Lake ($9) from barrier five and Mach Dan ($2.75 favourite) from barrier four in the second row.
Both geldings featured during the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship qualifying heats, ultimately missing on the grand final on December 11 but both making the consolation final on the same night.

Mach Dan finished a short half head off victory, pipped to the post by Jack Trainor's Pocket Of Terror, while Loorrim Lake fell further back in 10th.
Both geldings have had a run since that consolation final, with Mach Dan enjoying a win at Menangle in the Cobbitty Equine Farm Pace (1609 metres) on Saturday gone, while Loorrim Lake came fifth in the same race.
Pizzuto said both horses are heading into the Shirley Turnbull Memorial in good stead.
"They're both going good, I think they'll both run a really good race," he said.
"Loorrim Lake is not a bad horse, he's just been driven bad. Hopefully whoever drives him, will put it together on the night."
Wes Komorowski has the drive for Loorrim Lake, having been in the gig for the gelding's last 15 starts.
Joshua Gallagher will drive the favourite.
The Shirley Turnbull Memorial will be the fifth race of what is expected to be an eight-race meeting.
The first will get underway at 6.17pm, with the last at 9.52pm.
The Shirley Turnbull Memorial is expected to get underway from 8.23pm.
