A TEENAGE P-plater has been clocked speeding at almost 100km/h over the limit on Conrod Straight on Boxing Day.

Officers attached to Bathurst Highway Patrol stopped the P2 provisional licence holder about 5.55pm on Sunday after he was clocked at 156km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police say there was a pedestrian in The Chase at the time the teen sped past.
"Police stopped the driver who was issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h ($2547 and 12 demerit points)," police said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"He was also issued an infringement notice for not displaying p plates as required ($275 and two demerit points).
"His licence was suspended and confiscated on the spot for six months for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h."
Police remind all motorists that Mount Panorama is a public road with a 60km/h speed limit. It is actively patrolled by police in order to prevent or detect speeding drivers.
