While the line-up is still in the process of being finalised, Vika & Linda Bull have been confirmed as the festival's marquee act, with their signature blues and soul vocals set to delight audiences.

Vika & Linda last played Inland Sea of Sound in 2016, performing a set by themselves and with that year's headline act, The Black Sorrows, the group that paved the way for their rise to prominence.

Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre [BMEC] manager and festival co-ordinator Stephen Champion said Vika & Linda will be joined by a stellar roster of acts catering for a number of musical interests.

"We've got Carla Lippis set to perform two shows at the festival, and she's this incredible cabaret singer who's retuned to Australia recently after spending a number of years touring Europe," Mr Champion said.

"There will also be an event at BMEC's City Hall on the Thursday for those looking for a dance, with the brass-heavy Hot Potato Band and and the seven-piece world music outfit Worlds Collide set to up the energy levels."

Other confirmed acts for Inland 2022 include Lachy Doley Trio, This Way North, Caribe, Eagle & the Wolf and Andy Baylor.

In a similar vein to the 2021 event, Mr Champion said the upcoming festival will again utilise locations throughout the Bathurst CBD, with BMEC again to serve as the centre for activity.

"We've also engaged with Keystone 1889 and The Victoria Bathurst to host acts for the event, and further details will be revealed in due course," he said.

"The aim is to attract a different demographic of local and visiting music fans to each venue."

There will also be the Inland Sea of Sound Regional Songwriters Contest [to be held at Keystone], and the free 'Sea of Light' interactive installation to be set up at BMEC for families across the duration of the festival.
