And with the Renzaglia's O'Connell winery having already built a stellar reputation locally and further afield for their delicate, tailored red and white blends, Mr Renzaglia has started to put his own stamp on the process through a new family brand, di Renzo.
Since he softly launched the range late last year, Mr Renzaglia said he's currently in the process of getting more local venues and bottle shops on board to stock the di Renzo brand.
"What started as a distraction to get off my Dad's back is now turning into a label that represents our family's desire to ride the wave between conventional and experimental wines," he said.
"While I've had more control over the presentation and style of the wine, I wouldn't say this is purely my own label of wine; Dad and I still made plenty of decisions together, but I guess the key difference is the di Renzo brand is being marketed more towards people around my age- the late 20s, early 30s demographic."
Mr Renzaglia said an optimum wine blend is heavily reliant on finding a perfect balance of fruity, acidic and savoury notes, as well as a carefully cultivated ageing process in the barrel.
"A big part of enjoying wine is picking the right occasion, which is a skill in itself as there are so many variables involved and there's so much more to the wine than its brand," he said.
"The best wines are the ones you can enjoy every night of the week, but taste different depending on your meal or mood, so the context is often just as essential to the experience as the taste and texture."
There are currently six variants of di Renzo wine available: chardonnay, murnang white, riesling, rose, Rural Method [sparkling rose], and nuovo, ordered from white to red.
"The di Renzo wines are all made predominately from fruit we've purchased for our vineyard here at O'Connell, and it's all about introducing people to new flavours and styles," Mr Renzaglia said.
"We want to make wines that are accessible to a wide range of occasions and are well suited to the Australian drinking culture, and the aim is to get them into a host of bars and restaurants across the country that serve good food."
The di Renzo range of wines are currently available for purchase online at renzagliawines.com.au, and will eventually be rolled out to select venues and bottle shops across the Bathurst region.
