RE: Church Windows Turn 100: Seeking Stories Behind The Tributes (January 24). Thanks for the story on the history on the stained glass windows at the Uniting Church. Well done John Judge for being aware of this 100 year anniversary and the history behind it and well done Amy Rees and the Western Advocate on the story. I believe one of the stained glass windows in the church was in memory of Sarah Ann Clifton (nee Stringer), born in the mid-1800s in Warwickshire, England. Our grandkids are direct descendants of Sarah Ann, but six generations along. And given the size of some of the families in those generations, there could be hundreds of people associated with just Sarah Ann Clifton's stained glass window in the Bathurst Uniting Church as her direct relatives. Sarah Ann Clifton descendants have been very involved in Bathurst sport including cycling, football, hockey, squash, tennis and running.
