
THE number of hospitalised COVID cases in the Western NSW Local Health District has dropped for the second day in a row, but there were three deaths in the health district in the latest 24-hour period.

There were 28 cases in hospital in the health district in the Friday morning update, which dropped to 26 in the Saturday morning update and 25 in the Sunday morning update.
There are three cases in ICU, which is unchanged on the Saturday morning update.
The 52 deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday across the state that were reported by NSW Health included three people from Dubbo.
There was also a COVID death reported in the Western NSW Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8pm on Friday, but it is not known where the person was living.
Meanwhile, there were 159 positive PCR test results and 231 positive rapid antigen test results identified in the Western NSW Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday.
Bathurst Regional local government area had 79 new cases identified by PCR (after 88 new cases in the previous 24 hours), Orange had 117 and Dubbo 47.
Oberon had four and Blayney Shire 16.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
Across NSW, in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday, there were 13,524 positive COVID tests: 6032 rapid antigen tests and 7492 PCR tests.
There were 52 deaths reported by NSW Health - 33 men and 19 women.
Twenty-six people were from south-western Sydney, six from Sydney's Inner West, five from western Sydney, three from Dubbo, two from the Northern Beaches, two from northern Sydney, two from south-eastern Sydney, one from southern Sydney, one from the Newcastle area, one from the Lake Macquarie area, one from northern NSW, one from the Wollongong area, and one from the Central Coast.
