After contesting and winning three events in her grade in Para Equestrian events in Australia, Ms Kullen was selected in the national team to compete on the world stage in Kentucky.
However, due to a shortfall in the team’s funding,
Ms Kullen has to find at least $20,000 to pay for part of the cost of the trip.
“If I cannot raise these much needed funds I won’t be able to go, which would be absolutely heartbreaking,” she said.
“This $20,0000 doesn’t include the thousands more I need as well to help with the costs that I’ve had and still will have in the lead up to the World Equestrian Games. But it’s a starting point.”
Bathurst’s 2009 Sportsperson of the Year, Ms Kullen had shown great form recently claiming victory in her category at the International in Werribee, the 2010 Equestrian Australia Para Equestrian Nation Championships in Toowoomba in June and the Equestrian Australia Para Equestrian. Now she hopes to take on the world.
“I am searching for sponsors, supporters and generous donations to help me raise the much needed funds to get me to the World Equestrian Games,” Ms Kullen said.
“If you know anyone who may be interested, please contact me now as time is passing by very quickly and we can discuss things further. But I have to say one thing I rarely admit, I need help.”
The 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games are set to start in Kentucky, USA on September 25 and will run until October 10.
