Minyip Murtoa under 17 footballer Jordan Weyburg is the Round 10 winner of the Spirit of Football award in the Wimmera Football League. Jordan has been a pivotal member of the Minyip Murtoa side for the past few years, culminating in him serving as co-captain in 2017 and 2018. He’s known for leading from the front, displaying a positive attitude and a willingness to compete every week.  Around the club, he is always completing jobs such as boundary umpire, water boy, scoreboard attendant or even stepping up and helping out the reserves if they are short on players. Horsham Demons 17 & under netballer Tiarni Robertson is the round 9 winner of the Wimmera League Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Netball award. Tiarni always shows fierce determination on court.  She’s also a leader of her group and is an extremely coachable player, making her a pleasure to have around the club.  Stawell Swifts under 17 footballer Jaxson Healy is the round 12 winner of the Spirit of Football award.  Jaxson started his footy with Auskick and went on to play 50 games in the Stawell under 13 competition. Jaxson moved to Swifts Football Netball Club under 14s and now plays centre-half-forward for the under 17s.  He’s a left footer who loves training, playing with his mates and being in the footy club environment.  Jaxson played his first senior game two weeks ago and loved the experience. Rupanyup under 17 netballer Kirah Smith is the round 12 winner of the Spirit of Netball award. Kirah is a determined netballer, playing in both the under 15 and under 17 comps.  She often plays eight quarters in centre and still has enough breath to encourage her teammates and give guidance to younger players. She is a strong willed committed and versatile player on the court.  Kirah plays a pivotal role in the under 15 team as a strong centre who is able to direct play, and is well respected by her team members. Her advancement this year has seen her become a part of Rupanyup's under 17 team side for future development.
