A fire is burning in remote country 7.5 kilometres east of the Jenolan Caves.

The 25 hectare fire is burning within the Kanangra-Boyd National Park south of the Black Range in the Jenolan River. It can be seen from the Upper Blue Mountains, Kanimbla, Megalong, Hartley and Clarence areas.
National Parks and Wildlife Service and NSW Rural Fire Service ground crews are at the scene, working hard to contain the fire with the support of a number of aircrafts.
The RFS is advising that fire vehicles will be present along Jenolan Caves Road to the north of Jenolan Caves.
The Six Foot Track is closed to the public between the Jenolan Caves Road and west Cox River until further notice. Campers, motorists and bushwalkers are advised to stay away from the area .
