There were disco lights, a DJ and a big screen, all brought together by master of ceremonies Andy Wheeler.
The disco followed on from the successful 70s and 80s disco held at the RSL in autumn. This time around, revellers chipped in a gold coin entry fee, raising more than $240 for the Bathurst PCYC.
"We decided to make these discos more community orientated. We were very pleased at the turnout and the amount raised," marketing manager Peter Feenan said.
From 8pm until after midnight, hairspray, fishnets and sweatbands ruled, with prizes for the best dressed.
The next disco is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, with a Desperate and Dateless theme. For more information, call the Bathurst RSL on 6333 2999.
