The challenging 6.213 kilometre circuit has dramatic elevation changes, tight corners and long straights - a combination that has pushed some of the world's best drivers to their limit.
Each year a select group come to the Mount to battle it over an iconic endurance race which has become known as the Bathurst 1000. It is this race which many regard as their grand final, they call it their Holy Grail.
One man who has tasted the glory that comes with being the first to complete 161 laps of the track is Jim Richards. He is fortunate enough to have done so seven times.
These days Richards no longer races in the V8 Supercars series, but he will still be at Mount Panorama for the big October weekend. He arrives as the leader of the Touring Car Masters Series.
The Touring Car Masters Series features many of the cars that formerly raced for Mount Panorama's biggest prize. Richards and his fellow competitors are still just as keen to win at the iconic track.
A special track, a special series and a special driver - and Touring Car Masters is offering you a unique experience involving all three.
Along with the Western Advocate, Touring Car Masters is offering a lucky reader a weekend double pass to the event. There they will be given a pit tour by Richards before seeing him and the rest of the Tour Car Masters drivers compete.
Another lucky reader will win a signed Touring Car Masters/ Richards merchandise package.
