Dancin’ Divas Pole Studio is hosting a stretchathon in Bathurst tomorrow to raise much-needed funds for cancer research and support programs.
For a $15 donation, you can take part in the inaugural Super Sunday Stretch, which will not only support the Bathurst’s Girls’ Night In fundraiser, but also help you increase flexibility and co-ordination, lessen muscle tightness and improve circulation.
Dancin’ Divas owner Ang Robertson said all money raised through ticket sales would be donated to this important cause. She said the event would also raise awareness about the prevalence of breast cancer and the importance of breast screening.
“All money raised will be donated to the Bathurst Girls’ Night In to assist Jane Halliday and Sheree Ashcroft in their target to be the biggest fundraisers in the Central West,” Ms Robertson said.
The pink-themed stretchathon will start at 11am at Bathurst Panthers.
Ms Robertson encouraged all members of the community to join in, and to come dressed in their best pink threads.
“Men, women and children of all ages are welcome to come along and participate in this aerobic and stretch class, and be a part of what we’re hoping will be Bathurst’s biggest stretch class ever,” she said.
“So pull out those pink leg warmers and tights. Your support can make a real difference to those affected by cancer.”
Tickets are available at the door for $15.
Children aged 15 and under can get involved for a $5 donation.
Participants should bring a towel or yoga mat, and a bottle of water.
