Emergency services rushed to the scene about 8pm following a Triple-000 call.
Acting Inspector Craig Spice said the fire had spread through the house causing extensive damage.
At the time of the fire there were three people inside the home.
"Three persons have been conveyed to hospital for treatment," he said.
"They are suffering from smoke inhalation and all three have been treated for injuries sustained in the fire."
He said at this stage the cause of the fire is undetermined.
"A crime scene has been established and Chifley detectives and Forensic Service Group are still making inquiries."
It took NSW Fire and Rescue around 25 minutes to bring the fire under control.
