As summer draws to a close we are asking Bathurst children what made their holidays special this year.
If you have a budding storyteller in your house get them to pen a few words about their summer and email them through to us. We'll publish all responses online over the next few weeks.
Simply email their story and any relevant photos to acoomans@fairfaxmedia.com.au Don't forget to include the author's name and age.

I went to the Macquarie River this summer. I had a nice time there. I went for a paddle on my body board, I liked it on my body board. I like to go to the river in summer because it cools you down.

I paddled on my boogie board at the Macquarie River. I like going to the river in summertime because I can climb big rocks and go swimming.

On the holidays, I have done lots of things! Some of my favourites have been: taking my dog "Spike" for walks and to the exercise place for dogs, I have had fun swimming both at home and at the "big" Bathurst pool with my friends Jenson and Leo.
I have been for bike and scooter rides around the river and when it got too hot to play outside I played with my Lego, painted, watched some DVDs and also went to see "Frozen" at the movies. I got to have a sleepove’ at my friend Jenson’s house too! Today I am going to the beach for a little holiday! The End.
