The sale is a must for Bathurst bookworms looking to replenish their shelves.
Plenty of great titles will be up for grabs for avid readers or those looking to pick up some holiday reading material for an unbelievable bargain.
Library manager John Cumberford, who established the annual event in the early 2000s, is already preparing the thousands of books for this year’s sale.
He said every reader would find something of interest.
“There are new books as well as old ones – fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, everything,” he said yesterday.
The pre-loved books offered for sale can be purchased for as low as $1, with nothing over $3, including newer titles.
“Get in early as all the good books go fast,” Mr Cumberford said.
The sale starts at 10am on Saturday, September 27 in the library forecourt and finishes at 2pm. All proceeds will go to Bathurst Regional Council.
Residents who are not already members of Bathurst Library will also be given the chance to sign up on the day. It is free to join to enjoy the great range of free services. available at Bathurst Library.
