The dedicated troupe of performers is on the hunt for the city’s support to help fund its fourth annual international tour which kicks off next April.
While the performers usually hold a series of fundraising shows, Cirkus Surreal director Stephanie Brown said this year it will conduct a one-off show.
Tomorrow’s performance will have a cabaret theme and is something Ms Brown said should not be missed.
“We thought we’d try and do something different,” she said.
While the circus troupe usually appears as the stand-alone act at its annual fundraiser, tomorrow’s show will also include performances by the Macquarie Male Singers and Elvis.
Ms Brown said many local businesses have donated goods that will be auctioned off on the night.
Attendees will also be encouraged to bid on food and dessert platters to share with their table during the show.
Each member of the troupe is a student from Kelso High School, and Ms Brown said the performers have a world-wide reputation.
She said the show changes each year thanks to the students’ talents and interests.
During next year’s tour, 28 Cirkus Surreal performers will hold shows in Los Angeles and British Columbia, with the final itinerary still being planned.
They will also meet up with sister school Salt Spring Island Middle School in British Columbia for a number of circus skills sessions with students.
“It gives them opportunities to share their skills, meet new people and learn from each other,” Ms Brown said.
She encouraged people to book for tomorrow’s show as the Cirkus’ annual fundraising performances always sell out.
