The pint-sized swimming superstar added another massive haul of medals to her recent list of achievements at two separate carnivals last week.
Representing Cathedral School at the Eastern Region carnival last Tuesday, Lyons won all six events she contested, breaking three records in the process.
She destroyed the field in the under 11s 50 metre freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, and the senior girls’ 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley.
In the medley, the 50m breaststroke and the 50m butterfly Lyons set new benchmarks for her age.
But that wasn’t enough.
On the weekend, in an out-of-school competition, Lyons headed to Sydney where she took part in the NSW Country Championships.
This time she competed in seven events, and finally met her match – in one event.
Lyons finished second in the 100m breaststroke, and bounced back with the small matter of six golds.
She took out the 50m races in all four strokes as well as the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly.
