Well, not exactly - but under the title of 'SOMEWHERE' their next concert will be a musical travelogue, taking the audience on an evocative musical tour to places as far-flung as Russia and southern Africa. In this spirit of adventure, the Allegri Singers will depart from their usual venues, and perform this concert in the splendid ballroom of Abercrombie House.

While William Moxey, the choir's permanent musical director, takes a break, this performance will be under the baton of notable musician, Michael Hissey. Audiences are certain the find Michael's enthusiasm and expertise reflected in the choir's performance, and their own enjoyment. The piano accompanist will be the amazingly talented Ian Bates.
So, apart from Russia and Africa, the choir will take you on an armchair tour of England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and America. Full chorus numbers will be interspersed with small group and vocal solos, with two remarkable instrumental items.
The tour will end with a grand finale, including audience participation, as we all return to Australia, and Abercrombie House, for some well-earned refreshments.
Performance will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 7.30 pm and Sunday, May 22nd, at 2 pm. At Abercrombie House, Ophir Road, Bathurst. Tickets are available at Books Plus, Howick Street. Limited tickets will be available from the door. Tickets cost $25 for adults and concession $20, student or child $10.
