Goals from Amelia Burke, Sarah Watterson, Emma Siejka and Tahni Isedale gave Souths their third straight win.
“It was a continuation from how we played last weekend. We controlled and passed the ball well. We had good aggression and good pressure and that resulted in those three [first half] goals,” Souths coach Adrian Cox said.
“We’ve gained a lot of confidence and we’re playing more consistently now. They’ve got a lot of intensity back.”
After some early circle penetrations from Blue Jays it was instead Souths who got on the board first through Burke’s strike from the top of the Dubbo circle.
Watterson put her side up 2-0 before Siejka got on the end of an excellent long ball from Mish Somers to extend the gap to three.
A defensive error from Souths with 12 minutes to go gave Dubbo a penalty corner.
Phoebe Bloink-Hollier’s strike crashed into the left post and would be the closest all game Blue Jays would come to finding their way onto the score sheet.
Less than two minutes later, Isedale was successful from a Souths penalty corner to put the result beyond doubt.
