The Second Causeway over the Turon River has been gushing with fast-moving floodwaters recently, but that has not stopped two motorists in two days from driving onto it.
On Sunday afternoon a four-wheel-drive entered the water, two men were swept downstream, two others suffered mild hypothermia. All four men aged in their 20s were rescued.
Just 24-hours later, two men and a dog were in a vehicle that entered the same flooded causeway, attempting to drive past the abandoned vehicle from the rescue the previous day.
One man made is safely to riverbank, the second man and his dog were rescued by emergency services.
