Doors will open at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Gilmour Street, Kelso at 6.30pm for a 7pm start for a trivia fun night to raise funds for the ministry of St Barnabas Parish. Cost: $15pp, tables of eight. Hot finger food will be served, and it will be an alcohol-free event. No door sales. Tickets are available through Books Plus. There will be door and novelty prizes, and live music provided by Vic Mally and his honky tonk piano.

Bathurst Family History Group will host guest speaker Andrew Fletcher, talking about Bathurst and district’s contribution to the Great War, at 2pm in the Bathurst City Library meeting room.

The weekend
The beautiful garden at “Wild Meadows” in rural Little Hartley will be open September 17 and 18. Owner Stephen Vella, a horticulturist of 20 years, has created a garden filled with unusual plants, specialising in perennials and bulbs. It will be a great day out for the family.
