Twenty-three children might have been booked in on Monday, but 50 showed up for a full day of activities.
Eleven-year-old Sebastian Edwards was among the students who attended the morning MythBusters science experiment session.
“Mum told me that we would be doing science, baking and gymnastics,” he said.
“I was really excited about the science, I like doing science.”
PCYC school holiday co-ordinator Katrina Harrison led the outdoor science experiments surrounded by excited children.
Club manager Dave Hitchick said full and half day sessions are open to children aged five to 13 years and urged parents to book ahead.
“The more we know in advance, the more we can plan,” he said.
Other new sessions include a laser tag on Tuesday, a visit to the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum on Friday and a pushbike race day on Thursday next week.
