The Dave Pringle owned and trained greyhound ran a blistering 25.29 seconds (15.17 in the first section, 10.12 in the run home).
Kennerson Park racing manager Jason Lyne said it was good to see a new record broken.
“It does not happen very often, with the last record broken about 18 months ago,” Lyne said.
“It is fantastic for the club and shows the quality of track here at Kennerson Park.”
Nature’s Gent record is an unofficial record, as there needs to be at least four greyhounds racing for a record to be counted as official.
Mark Wicks’ Talking Point and local trainer Kevin Pierce’s Bass Louder share the official record at 25.45 over 450 metres.
Ironically, the only dog to go even quicker is Nature’s Gent’s father Shakey Jackey, who ran in 25.28.
