To be played at Mollymook Golf Club, the Seniors Championships offers a purse of $70,000 and competition is expected to be stiff for three-time European Tour winner O’Malley.
Mike Harwood and Rodger Davis will be amongst his rivals as he takes part in his fifth event on the Legends Tour this season.
He will be looking to emulate the sort of touch he showed on day one of the Australian Open last week when carding one of his career best rounds at Royal Sydney.
The layout at Mollymook is expected to test the field.
"[It’s] One of the toughest layouts on the E-Z-GO PGA Legends Tour schedule, the person who emerges victorious at Mollymook Golf Club will be a very deserving champion," Hugh Dolan, chairman of the Legends Tour, said.
