Zane Beale registered 41 to claim A grade. A countback was needed to separate Brian Walsh and Bob Pardey, after both players finished with 39. Kerry Stait was back to his brilliant best to take the scratch win.
A welcome return to form greeted Garry Pomeroy by the way of 43 points and a three stroke margin over Greg Murray. Ian Hart (38) rounded out third and the scratch went to Owen Moss on 20 points.
President Ray Stapley finally got the putter working and it spoke volumes, as his 40 points just held off the charging Jody Parker by a solitary shot in the quest for A grade glory. Our sweet swinging professional Matt Barrett (37) was able to hang onto third and Phil Campbell (36) scratch.
Rod Pollard, finishing on 43 points, triumphed in B grade. Don Finlayson (42) and Bruce Gray (40) rounded out the minor placings. Pollard completed the double, as he combined with Greg Murray to post 47 and a one shot margin over John Ryan and Bob Cooper. Campbell made it a scratch double as he partnered with Ross McDonald to fire 37 points. A three-way tie was Sunday’s end result as Nick Winterton, Chris Burke and Danny Ross all returned 40 points.
