The cottage can now purchase a Physiotouch, a machine that helps treat lymphocele.
The Bathurst Truckies’ Ball committee members chose Daffodil Cottage for their fundraiser after hearing that $17,000 was required to purchase the machine.
More than 100 people attended the ball, which featured the presentation of awards and a charity auction.
Committee member Peter Hagney said it had been a great event.
”Not only did everybody that attended have a great night, but they were also able, with the help of guest auctioneer Taylor Meek from Elders Bathurst, to raise $11,000 for Daffodil Cottage,” Mr Hagney said.
Daffodil Cottage at Bathurst Health Service provides cancer services for both inpatients and outpatients.
