It’s been four years since the Bronze Thong has been held but the committee have resurrected the event, making it bigger and better then ever.
Kirsten Brumby, treasurer of the Bronze Thong committee said the final plans for Saturday’s event are going really well, and they are expecting a great day.
“It hasn’t been on for the last four years; last year it was planned but had to be postponed because of the wet weather.”

“I’m new to the area but the other committee members have lived here for ages, and we all wanted to bring it back to life,” she said.
Ms Brumby said the day will be great for families.
“The day time is very family orientated; we will have novelty stuff for kids, and plenty for everyone to do.”
Ms Brumby said some of the events happening on the day include horse racing, a ute muster, horse fancy dress, goat racing and novelty events including the famous throng throwing championship.
“There will be live music and entertainment all day with popular local band The Works playing through until midnight.”
There will also be a BBQ, soft drinks, spit roast meat and gravy rolls and coffee.
Alcohol is BYO, but no glass can be brought into the event.
Admission is $20 per adult, under 16 is free, and VIP corporate areas are available.
Ms Brumby said for people who want to make a weekend of it, camping is included on Saturday night, and is just $5 a vehicle for Friday night.
