Celebrations will begin at 9.45am with Devonshire tea, followed by Mass in the Performing Arts Centre, a BBQ lunch, guided tours of the school and family games and activities.
Stannies’ head prefect, Dom McCrossin, who is assisting in an official capacity at the event, said anyone who has had an association with the school should join in the celebrations.
He said as a student at the school, he understands the relationship students, staff, old boys and their families have with the college.
“People ask me what’s the best thing about being at the school and it’s an easy one to answer; it’s the connection you feel with the other boys,” he said.
This week, the Stannies’ also welcomed 18 students and teachers from St Louis High 1, Surabaya, who specifically timed their visit to the school to celebrate the sesquicentenary.
