The tour, running on March 18 and 19, has become a popular fixture on the Bathurst Cycling Club calendar and will again bring riders of all abilities from across the state to the city.
Saturday’s racing will involve the time trial and criterium events while Sunday is road racing day.
“It’s been a very popular event with club-grade riders,” Bathurst Cycling Club president Mark Simons said.
“It’s an important part of the calendar for our club and for women’s cyclong. It’s got a bunch of different events which challenge riders across all grades, right through to A grade cyclists like Kirsten Howard, who is our most prominent elite rider at the moment.”
Simons said event organiser Marian Renshaw puts a lot of effort into putting the event together.
“Marian’s done a lot of great work in getting female riders involved in the sport. I believe she will be hosting a skills day on the Friday as well, which shows her commitment to fostering women’s cycling and development,” he said.
Entry is $15 per event of $30 for all three races.
Prizemoney is on offer for the criterium and road race events.
