Game 1: Skip Ted Summerfield and Lead Allan Clarke played against Skip Ian Cunningham and Lead Graham Spurway.
Team Summerfield were quick out of the blocks, leading 9–1 at the fifth end.
At the 12th end, they were 11–8 and then scored another four to lead 15–8. The points went fairly evenly after that, with the final score 19–14 in Team Summerville’s favour.
Game 2: Skip Bob Foster with Lead Kevin Miller played Skip John Allbutt and Lead Ian Hurford.
The score was five all at the eighth end when Bob and Kevin streaked ahead, winning the next four ends to bring the score up to 12-5.
By the 19th end, the score was 18-10. Team Foster then pulled well ahead by winning another five points in the last two ends, bringing the final score to 23–10.
Saturday, March 4
Game 1: On the 17th end, Bryan Bromfield scored four shots to level the scores at 14 shots all with Mick Sewell in the " A " Grade Singles Championship game.
Bryan then led 26-16 after the 25th end, finally winning 31-20 over Mick. after the 31st end.
Game 2: In this game, Skip. Arthur Williams and George Ballard scored one shot to draw level at 13 shots all after the 15th end, with Skip Ron Hollebone and Bruce Rich, who won the next six consecutive ends to be successful 25-13 over Arthur and George.
Game 3: After the ninth end, Skip. Norm Hayes and Garry Connors were leading 10-4 against Skip. John Archer and Phill. Murray, who fought back to lead 18-13 after the 17th end.
Norm and Garry scored seven shots to lead 20-18, but John and Phill. scored two shots on the 21st end to draw the game with Norm. and Garry, 20 shots all.
Game 4: In another great game of Lawn bowls, Skip. Bob Lindsay and Paul Reece scored three shots to level the scores at six shots all after the seventh end with Skip. Ian Schofield and Garry Hotham.
Both teams each scored six shots , with Ian and Garry winning 18-17 over Bob and Paul.
Game 5: By beginning exceptionally well, Skip. Gordon Adams and Trevor Kellock led 12 shots to nil after the seventh end over.
Skip Ted Summerfield and Grahame Mays, who scored ten shots to seven shots, but, Gordon and Trevor finally won 19-10 over Ted and Grahame.
