The popular 2MCE Cool Climate Living program will now have an encore airing each Wednesday from 11am, along with the regular time slot on Friday between 11 and noon.
The program covering a variety of topics from the local arts, gardening, social, craft, festival and general interest areas is presented by Susan Lacey and Monica Morse.
The ladies speak with people about their passions and interests covering the region we live in.
Recent programs have covered the Wattle Flat Bronze Thong, Heritage Cooking, Bird Watching, local sculptors, solar energy and even farm safety.
The idea of the program is to give an insight into the lives and interests of our local community.
Unfortunately regular presenter Susan Lacey is taking an enforced break from the program for a few months.
So if you would like to try your hand at producing and presenting the program until her return, give me a call on 6338-4774 during business hours for details.
Special Guests
2MCE enjoy having guests come into the studios to outline their community interests and talk about events and issues from the local area. This past week regular Friday morning music presenter Alan Taylor had Merle McCormick and Joanne Bugg (pictured) from the Seymour Centre as guests during his program.
The two ladies had a great time chatting about the centre and joining in the program and playing music requests from callers. If you would like to get a message across about an upcoming community event or a service offered by your group or organisation or maybe promote an activity, give us a call on 6338-4790 during business hours.
Do you have an upcoming community event?
We can arrange either a visit to the studio or a phone interview to let our listeners know about occasion. Charities, community groups, service clubs and sporting groups are most particularly encouraged to get involved and we are happy to assist in promoting your activities.
Thanks Mate
A big thanks to Tim Williams who took over the “Tuned In” column for the past few weeks while I was on annual leave. Tim did a great job as he does every week with his weekend breakfast programs, Retro Top 40 and Friday night rock programs, not to mention being one of our Saturday Night Jukebox team.
