She lost her husband, Steve, to cancer last August and she will be shaving her head for the World’s Greatest Shave.
The loss of her husband is Ms Carah’s motivation for shaving her hair off.
“I’m a bit worried [getting my hair cut] because it’ll be a bit cold,” she said.
“But it’s a small sacrifice. I’ve watched both my mum and husband lose their hair because of cancer.”
Ms Carah will join up with Lance Kelly to form Team Steve.
The team will be looking to raise $5,000, while Ms Carah is aiming to raise $2,000 individually.
The head-shave will be held at Target, in Bathurst Stocklands, and will commence at 10.30am.
Donations can be made online at my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/jayecarah or at Target.
A fundraiser was held at the Kelso Hotel on Thursday night, to help raise extra money.
