The band is made up of singer and guitarist Luke Furbank, bassist and back-up vocalist Tom Rodham, guitarist Ben Howle, drummer Jackson Howle and keyboardist Jake Parker.
Vic Maley, Phil Cole and Craig Honeysett were the judges on Saturday evening at All Saints’ College and judged the band on their excellent preparation and Jackson Howle’s drumming, which kept the rhythm together.
Crimson Royale performed covers of Don’t Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wheels by the Foo Fighters, Lay It Down by the Rubens, Jumpin’ Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
They finished their performances with their own original song – Drive Me Crazy – which is about searching for something.
Crimson Royale said they are pretty pleased with their success and psyched.
“It’s pretty awesome, especially to get our name out there,” Mr Furbank said.
“All together, we’ve been together for a year and a half.
“We’ll just see how far we can go.”
Crimson Royale will now get their chance to record Drive Me Crazy at the Dotted Eight Cafe & Studio in Orange.
The song will then be played on B-Rock FM.
