Bathurst Regional Council will host chefs and television celebrities Colin Fassnidge and Matthew Evans as special guests for the 2017 Sustainable Living Expo (SLE). The expo will be held from 8am to noon in conjunction with the Bathurst Farmers’ Markets at the Bathurst Showgrounds. A gold coin donation will give access to both the expo and farmers’ markets. Machattie Park Majesty, Myth and Memories: explore Machattie Park and discover how it was transformed. Meet at the Machattie Park gate on the corner of Russell and George streets. The tour will run from 2-4pm and is free, but bookings are essential. Book at Bathurst Visitor Information Centre, 6332 1444.
Sunday, March 26
The 2017 Bathurst Melanoma March will be held at Bicentennial Park, Bathurst. Registrations will open from 9am and the official walk will begin at approximately 10.30am. Participants in the march will start at Bicentennial Park and complete a loop of the walking course on the walking path/track around the Macquarie River. The course is an easy walking course, suitable for people with prams, young children, adults and even the pet dog. There will be a sausage sizzle and giveaways for participants at the end. Dr John Schibeci will be the guest speaker.
Old Government Cottage at 16 Stanley Street is open every Sunday afternoon from noon-4pm.
