Mayor Graeme Hanger OAM said Bathurst Regional Council wants to give patrons a diverse program of activities to enjoy at the festival each year.
“The ice hockey was very popular last year as were the professional ice skaters the previous year,” he said.
“The Bathurst Winter Festival is all about diversity and while we do have the regular fixtures such as illuminations, the McDonalds Bathurst Ice Rink, the ferris wheel and gourmet food, the performances will change from year to year to keep the entertainment program vibrant and exciting.”
Council will feature several new things at the festival this year, expanding it to outside of the Kings Parade precinct.
“New features on the Brew and Bite festival night this year include the purpose built Whiskey and Gin Bar, the dessert store in Machattie Park and the entertainment line-up includes illuminated drummers on ice, a performance by Junk Yard Beats and the return of the popular Silent Disco,” Cr Hanger said.
The Bathurst Winter Festival will be held from July 1 to July 16.
