POLICE are hunting a Bathurst man who is on the run after escaping police custody in Sydney on Sunday.

Kyran Hubert John Naden had been taken to Miranda police station in Sydney’s south about 8.30pm on Sunday following an earlier incident.
Officers had been called to Kitchener Place, Caringbah in response to a break and enter.
They arrested 31-year-old Naden following a short struggle and he was taken to Miranda police station to assist with inquiries into a matter.
While at the police station Naden managed to escape police custody.
A search of the area was unable to locate him and inquiries are continuing.
Naden is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 177cm tall, of thin build with brown hair and eyes. When he was last seen the man was wearing a dark green tracksuit top and faded blue jeans.
Police said he was living in Bathurst recently and also has ties to Orange.
An internal investigation is being conducted into the events leading up to the man's escape.
