Ever year, thousands of Cancer Council volunteers hit the streets and shopping centres across the country on Daffodil Day to raise vital funds for cancer research, education programs and support for the 1.1 million Australians who’ve been affected by the disease.
Stalls open at 9am and Dougal Bear will be helping out again at the Bathurst City Centre.
Members of the community are encouraged to get a photo and have a cuddle with Dougal Bear, as well as showing support for Daffodil Day by hashtagging #DaffodilDay with all photos taken on the day.
By donating on Daffodil Day, the community can bring Cancer Council one step closer to a future free from the harmful disease.
A grand total of $5.6 million was raised on Daffodil Day last year.
