As I am departing 2MCE at the end of the month after a little over 10 years association, Michelle is stepping into the role of acting manager.
While she has been away from the station in recent times Michelle has been working within Charles Sturt University in a teaching role in the School of Communication and Creative Industries as well as the media technical officer in the school’s creative hub.
In her previous role with 2MCE she was the programming and production co-ordinator, we all welcome Michelle back on board in her management role with the station.
You can contact Michelle at the station on 6338 4790 or at 2mce@csu.edu.au
JAZZ IT UP
Where’s our jazz gone?
If you are a 2MCE regular and particularly if you like jazz, you might be asking where has the regular Thursday night Jazz Notes program gone.
The answer is not that far, after many years in the 6pm spot on a Thursday presenters Geoff Brown and Henry Bialowas have opted for a change of day and time and can now be found at Monday’s from 2pm to 6pm, alternating each week with Keith Manning and occasionally Martin Hayes.
So for the best in jazz join the Jazz Notes team, now on Monday’s from four on 92.3FM.
GUEST SPEAKER
I was fortunate enough recently to be asked to address the Rotary Club of Bathurst East as guest speaker.
After being made feel most welcome I was able to outline many of 2MCE’s activities and involvement with the community at large and explain how the station interacts with the various organisations, bodies and community groups and business houses. These areas are where we draw our volunteers from and what we offer as a community station to Bathurst and surrounding areas.
