BATHURST will play host to a new, all-abilities MILO in2CRICKET program over the next two months, to be run by Cricket NSW Central West development manager Matt Tabbernor.

The eight-week program is aimed at kids with a disability aged from five to 12 and is set to teach the core cricketing skills of batting, catching, bowling and fielding in game based activities.
This program has run the last two years in Orange and is now expanding to Bathurst.
Tabbernor feels the most satisfying aspect of the program is that families all join in and enjoy the activities on offer with the participants.
“I have seen first hand what this program can do for children with a disability and the positive outcomes it can deliver. Cricket is a sport for all and this program further illustrates this,” he said.
“I began this program to get my daughter into cricket and share my love of the game with her. I had some people ask me to run this in Bathurst and I am looking forward in seeing the kids of Bathurst learn the skills of cricket through fun and entertaining games.”
The program kicks off next Wednesday with a free come and try afternoon from 4-5pm at George Park. The program then continues for eight weeks, with a one-off cost of $45. All equipment is supplied and each registered participant receives a pack including a bat, ball, shirt, hat, drink bottle all in a backpack.
