Friday’s colour run left students, and many staff, covered in rainbow coloured powder after a relay event on the oval.
Principal Sue Guilfoyle said staff decided that rather than hold the school’s annual fete, they would instead host a colour run.
“It’s been lots of fun and every child is involved,” she said.
“Students have been sponsored per lap by friends and family.
“Before we started we’d already raised $4000.”
All funds raised from the colour run will go towards additional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) equipment, library books and sport equipment.
Ms Guilfoyle said 10 businesses sponsored the event, with the school’s P & F providing colourful, healthy snacks to the students.
“Thank you to the community for their support and to everyone for dressing up,” she said.
