The second volume of his memoirs was one of the most eagerly anticipated books of the year and went to the top of the bestseller lists in its first week of release.
Working Class Man follows on from his first book, the bestselling Working Class Boy, and tells the story of his years starting out with Cold Chisel, who went on to become one of Australia’s most successful bands during the late 1970’s and 1980’s.
This powerful and honest account gives a no-holds barred insight into the lifestyle of fame, success and addiction that went hand in hand with being Cold Chisel’s front man.
The memoir also covers his years as a solo singer and tells of the ups and downs he encountered and the love of family that kept him afloat throughout those years, as well as the healing power of music.
Jimmy has also been performing a series of intimate concerts were he has been sharing some of these stories, and has included Bathurst is his tour.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet Jimmy Barnes at a signing event at BooksPlus on Thursday, November 30 from 5.30pm to 7pm.
He will be signing copies of both his books, which are available from BooksPlus on the night or in the lead up to the signing.
No memorabilia will be signed at the event.
