Over the past two seasons Griffith has not only played club cricket in Bathurst, but lined up for Penrith in the Sydney Women’s competition.
Penrith’s home ground is Howell Oval, a venue where Griffith has claimed three victims already this season, including 2016-17 Sydney Women’s Cricket player of year Hannah Trollip.
It is that ground where Griffith’s WBBL team, Sydney Thunder, is set to meet the Melbourne Stars on Saturday.
In the three games she has played for Thunder – which include an eight-wicket win over the Stars earlier this week – Griffith has bowled seven overs of her right arm medium but is yet to snare a victim. She hopes to change that in Saturday’s match, which starts at 1pm, if given the chance.
