As the owner of a property in Beresford Street close to this intersection, I think it should be a stop sign at this intersection, not a give way, to prevent a bad accident in both directions.
The number of near collisions every single day is unbelievable.
Councillor Jess Jennings should also have a look at the footpath on the other side of the road of the bridge.
It does not exist and has become a parking zone for semi-trailers day and night, forcing pedestrians to walk on a fast, dangerous section of road.
Cars, trucks and pushbike riders have no regard for the main road traffic from Rocket Street to Vale Road.
I have lived here for 30 years and have tried to have something done for pedestrians crossing the bridge, with footpaths going no further and then the bridge guard rail being removed from the bridge footpath to give trucks more room, exposing people to moving traffic.
