It might have started as an agricultural show all those years ago, but these days it has events, competitions and attractions featuring the latest in family fun.
Executive secretary of the Bathurst A H and P, Brett Kenworthy, said the milestone show would be one worth celebrating for the community.
“Being the 150th show, we’ll put on the best possible show we can,” he said.
The Reliance Bank Royal Bathurst Show is on from April 13 to 15, and Mr Kenworthy said exhibitors were keen to ensure the community enjoyed the celebration.

Families will be well catered for with a wide range of free activities on offer including the always-popular animal nursery, family square, kids arena, live entertainment, displays and competitions.
For those after an adrenaline rush, Mr Kenworthy said there would be a wide range of amusement rides as well as bull riding, Team D-Max precision drivers, trick riders and whip crackers.

Agricultural competitors, many fresh from the Sydney Royal Easter Show, will also be competing for top honours during the three-day event.
“From the moment you walk in the door there’s plenty to see,” he said.
“The fact that it’s an autumn show is part of our success and the weather here is perfect.”
A single day family entry ticket for four people is $52, or $104 for the full three days of the show.
Earlybird discounted entry tickets are on sale until Thursday, April 12 on the Royal Bathurst Show’s website or the show office at the Bathurst Showground.
