Circaholics Anonymous, a group specialising in fire performance, will be part of the Saturday night entertainment at the four-day circus arts festival.
This is not the first time the group has been part of the festival, having been one of the highlights at the last festival in 2014.
That year they did a night time performance on the bank of the Macquarie River, showcasing their unique brand of fire taming to students and the general public.
Circaholics director Calvin Grant said the group has a long history with Catapult, having actually been born from the event around a decade ago.
"I actually went there when I was still in high school and made a few friends there and really wanted to come back for it in '09, but didn't have a school to come with," he said.
The group is made up of eight performers, all of which are excited to be heading to the festival.
"I think the Catapult Festival is spectacular and probably the highlight of what we do and it has been a little depressing to have to wait so long to come back for it, but we are really excited to be back," Mr Grant said.
While he doesn't want to give too much away about the upcoming show, Mr Grant said people can expect to see flaming sword fights, fiery skipping rope demonstrations and fire shoes.
"We can guarantee they'll see something they've never seen before because we like to make each show different from the last one," he said.
The Catapult Festival will be held in Bathurst from April 18.
It is an initiative of Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) and acts as a meeting point for metropolitan, regional and remote youth circus practitioners.
The organisers expect there will be around 100 participants this year as they try to rebuild the festival.
It used to be held once every two years, but other programs took over and resulted in the organisers being unable to hold it in 2016.
